About ICID workshop

You are cordially invited to partake in the International ICID 2024 Workshop “Cultural Perspectives of Human-Centered Approaches and Technological Innovations,” scheduled for January 27th-28th, 2024. This workshop, organized as a precursor to the ICID-2024 conference within the ICID (International Conference for Information Systems and Design) series, holds a more focused and specific approach, while aligning with the range of topics covered by ICID.

The workshop proceedings will be published in the CCIS series with Springer publisher.

The workshop will adopt a hybrid format, offering opportunities for onsite participation in Tokyo, Japan. The event focuses on engaging researchers from Asia, featuring keynote speakers from esteemed institutions such as Stanford and Berkeley, alongside the expected involvement of universities in Korea, Japan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia.

ICID serves as a global network fostering open industry innovations within the academic landscape. We emphasize practical, industry-driven studies in Information Systems’ design, deployment, and adoption. The conference is a platform where active and skilled students can present their R&D projects, establish new connections, and engage with like-minded individuals. Our primary goal is bridging the gap between universities and enterprises. The ICID conference typically hosts 100+ participants and guests from the American continent, Europe, and Central Asia. We aspire to expand our network further, extending a warm welcome to more active participants from Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. We encourage paper submissions, conference participation, and presentation of research findings. The fourth ICID conference is geared towards research related to IT within BRICS and the Developing World, primarily designed as an online event with limited on-site discussions in BRICS countries.

We encourage all interested parties to submit papers, engage in the workshop, and share their research findings. The workshop primarily offers a hybrid format, allowing for online and on-site participation.

Participation in the workshop is free. Participants are only required to cover accommodation and travel expenses in case of on-site attendance. A separate email containing accommodation and logistics recommendations will be sent to all attendees.

Workshop considers two steps submission: abstract submissions before the workshop date and papers submissions after the workshop. All submitted abstracts and papers will be blind-reviewed by the program committee. All accepted abstracts will be invited for the presentation at the conference. Selected proceedings of the conference will be published and indexed by SCOPUS.
